Another NBA Star Disagrees with Stephen Curry as Best PG Ever

Stephen Curry is the best three-point shooter in the NBA. Even if the “head chef” is the most reliable PG, this fact is nonetheless criticized by some.

Who is the NBA’s top point guard this season? Debates on this topic have the potential to go on for quite some time. When it comes to Damian Lillard, though, he just has one thought.

The top player for the Portland Trail Blazers whose impending departure has set the trade market afire was recently asked both of these questions.

“I think no one can be better than me in this position,” Damian Lillard said on the It Is What It Is podcast. My confidence and faith in my abilities serve as my greatest assets whenever I take the court. So, what exactly did I do in rehearsal?

The presenter finally got to the heart of the matter, asking Dame, “So do you think you are the best PG in the NBA at the moment?”

“That’s right,” Lillard agreed.Stephen Curry once said that he was the greatest point guard in NBA history. Many people had differing reactions to this assertion, including the great Michael Jordan, who said that Curry is not the greatest point guard.

Like “chef” Stephen, Damian Lillard is convinced in his own opinion that he is the greatest point guard, but he disagrees with Stephen. Dame went on to say that Curry is the reason he considers himself better than the NBA’s best 3-point shooter. certainly not a PG film.

“If Stephen plays more like me (in the PG – PV position), he will have to hold the ball more to launch attacks, showing his ability to control,” Lillard added.

I still give Steph my respect, but if he wants to be the top point guard, he has to start taking on more defensive responsibilities.

This comment is comparable to one Michael Jordan made regarding Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, in that both players agree that Curry is the best pitcher in the league but not the best defense.

When asked who he thought was the greatest point guard of all time, “Mr. Air” named his contemporaries Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, while Damian Lillard went with himself.

Although their playing styles are different, Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard have significant similarities, particularly in their shooting. Both have long-range shooting abilities and can make shots far beyond the 3-point line.

When comparing 3-pointers made (3PTM) and 3-pointers attempted (3PTA) per game, Dame is not far behind Steph. Curry shoots 33% from deep on 38% of his shots, while Lillard only makes 31% on 8.3% of his attempts.
