The Nike BOOK 1, Devin Booker’s trademark sneaker, had its grand debut in September 2023 during Nike’s World Basketball Festivities, to great enthusiasm.
.
The BOOK 1 was praised for its understated elegance, devotion to tradition, and use of suede/leather materials. It was a novel twist on the contemporary signature basketball sneaker, fusing style with details that perfectly capture Booker’s vision.
So far, we’ve seen the first chapter of the book, which features an orange-flooded execution with textures like snakeskin on top. Now that the new “Cool Grey” has been sighted on Booker’s feet during Phoenix Suns practises, we have our first glimpse at it. The perforated ankle, heel overlay, and toe all sport the new colorway’s calming neutral tint. The Swoosh logo is covered in tumbled leather and encircled by upholstery made of textured fabric that resembles canvas. Below, cool grey speckling hits the white sole.
The Suns star was born in the year “96,” which is one of the BOOK 1’s unique touches. The tongue bears the BOOK1 logo, and the heel pull-tab has additional white layers that resemble a book’s pages.
Although a specific release date has not yet been announced, further details are expected to become available as the year draws to a conclusion. The Nike BOOK 1 is scheduled to launch in early 2024.
