Jayson Tatum’s historic 60-point night vs. San Antonio Spurs, sets Larry Bird’s franchise record

All-NBA small forward Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics both had a night to remember. Tatum, who is from St. Louis, scored 60 points, which was the franchise record set by legendary Celtic forward Larry Bird in 1985. Tatum tied the record against the San Antonio Spurs in 2021.

Those points were almost all that was needed to beat the annoying Spurs 143–140 in overtime. The Duke graduate also had 8 rebounds, 5 assists, a block, no mistakes, and 2 personal fouls in 45 minutes of play.
