The Warriors finished their preseason on a low note on Friday night, when their top scorers went cold but the rest of the team contributed effectively.
Losing to the San Antonio Spurs 122-117 in front of a sellout crowd of 18,064 at Chase Center.
The Warriors had five players in double digits, led by Moses Moody (18 points) and Dario Sari (17 points).
Together, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins went 3-for-18 from 3-point range and 7-for-32 from the field. Meanwhile, the remaining players were 35/61 and 11/28 respectively.
With only four more days before the start of the regular season, it’s possible that the veterans have had enough of these meaningless warmup games. At this point, planning for the regular season is quite normal.
