The Warriors’ preseason came to an end on a Friday night despite a lackluster offensive showing from their top scorers and a generally effective showing from the rest of the team.
Despite playing in front of a sellout crowd of 18,064, the San Antonio Spurs won 122-117 at Chase Center.
Moses Moody led the Warriors with 18 points, and Dario Sario added 17.
Together, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins shot just 7-of-32 (25 percent) from the field and 3-of-18 (15 percent) from three-point range. Overall, the team’s stats were 35-of-61 and 11-of-28.
The regular season starts in four nights, so the veterans may be tired of playing meaningless games in preparation. Looking ahead to the regular season is not out of the ordinary at this stage.
