The Warriors’ preseason came to an end on a Friday night when their top scorers went cold but the rest of the team put up solid offensive numbers.
The final score was 122-117, a defeat to the San Antonio Spurs in front of a sellout crowd of 18,064 at Chase Center.
Five Warriors scored in double digits, topped by Moses Moody’s 18 and Dario Saric’s 17.
Three of the team’s stars—Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins—combined to go 7-of-32 from the field and 3-of-18 from 3-point range. For the remainder of the team, the stats were 35-of-61 and 11-of-28.
Only four more days before the start of the regular season, and perhaps the veterans have had enough of these meaningless tune-up games. It’s natural to be thinking about next year’s regular season.
