Tough Questions for NBA's Anthony Davis

Davis, who is sponsored by Nike and provided “creative design input,” made his first big step into shoe making as part of the first-of-its-kind “Chip Deal.” He’s already learned some lessons he didn’t expect.

Davis told FN, “Sometimes you have these crazy ideas and you want to just throw it on a shoe. But sometimes it doesn’t work and they’re like, ‘You can’t put that on a shoe.'” “I wouldn’t say it’s frustrating, but it opened my eyes the most, like, ‘Man, I can’t do that?'” We found some things that worked and got rid of some heat in the end.

Each Ruffles Ridge Tops sneaker was made by hand and has the blue and orange colors of the original Ruffles bag. The shoelaces can be switched out and were inspired by the colors of different Ruffles tastes. There is a secret pocket with a silver lining and a ribbed accent near the heel of the shoe that is meant to look like the shape of a ridged chip and the feeling of opening a Ruffles bag. Like the list of ingredients on most foods, the tongue of the shoe has “Shoetrition Facts” that describe the shoe’s physical and intangible parts.

According to Davis, his fashion sense has “evolved tremendously” in the seven years he has been a professional basketball player. Davis was drafted into the NBA in 2012 after a legendary college career at the University of Kentucky.

“I was wearing sweatsuits when I first came in, right after college.” After that, he told FN, “I started getting invited to all these high-class events, and I had to get suits and wear more grown-up clothes.” “That look got better and better over the years as I worked on it.”

Davis’s “favorite Nike silhouette,” the “Dunk High,” has his limited-edition Ruffles partnership on it.

“I adore putting on Nikes. “This is something I’ve always done,” Davis said. “That’s the only shoe I ever wore while playing.” It seemed right to me.

From June 24 to August 4, people who buy a bag of Ruffles and enter the code on the package will have a daily chance to win fashion and sports items, with a pair of sneakers made by Ruffles and Davis as the big prize.
