The Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo have agreed on a three-year, $186 million contract, as first reported by… well, kind of Antetokounmpo himself, who teased the extension in a tweet Monday night.

Antetokounmpo previously signed a five-year, $228.2 million supermax contract in 2020. However, with his extension and the player option on the end, the Greek Freak looks to be remaining in Milwaukee until around the 2027-28 season.

Antetokounmpo is a seven-time All-Star and two-time league MVP since being drafted from Greece by the Bucks in 2013 in the first round, 15th overall. In 2020-21, he led the Bucks to an NBA Championship title and earned the Finals MVP award. He’s showed no signs of slowing down, averaging a career-high 31.1 points per game last campaign.

All this in addition to picking up Damian Lillard this offseason. Looks like the Bucks are ready to push for another title or even titles within the next few years.

Antetokounmpo, Lillard and the rest of the Bucks open their regular season on Thursday night hosting the Philadelphia 76ers.
