The Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker successfully completed their first test of the 2023–24 NBA season. In large part because of Booker’s outstanding play, Phoenix was able to handle the Golden State Warriors in the Bay Area on Tuesday night even without Bradley Beal.
As he was heading to the locker room, Booker remarked of the Suns’ 108-104 victory over Golden State, “We had to fight for it.” “All right, we’ll take it.”
Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring with 32 points, making 13 of his 21 field goals. With eight assists, including some crucial ones in the closing minutes, he proved to everyone that he can also take care of setting the table for his teammates. He also did a fantastic job producing for them. With Beal out due to injury and Kevin Durant shooting terribly, Booker assumed the majority of the offensive load for the Suns. Durant only scored 18 points on 7 of 22 shots.
