Superstar player for the Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James has not stopped paying tribute to his “brother,” NBA great Kobe Bryant, who perished in a helicopter crash on Sunday morning in Los Angeles with his daughter Gianna Bryant, 13.
The Lakers’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers was postponed on Tuesday, and James used Instagram to share a video of his greeting of Kobe Bryant and his wife, Gianna, at the arena.
“My brother!! I love you man!!” he wrote.
There were other emojis used in the message, including a shattered heart, a crown, and a snake, which stood for James and Bryant. James also updated his picture to one of Bryant and Gianna.
This is only James’s second public response to their untimely passing.
The 35-year-old shared an emotional message on social media on Monday night, detailing his grief and his desire to continue Bryant’s legacy in Los Angeles.
Although I’m not prepared, here I go. I’ve been sitting here trying to write something for this article, but thinking about you and my niece Gigi makes me cry all over again. James stated this about Bryant, who spent 20 years with the Lakers and won five titles during that time.
“I have to carry this load and keep it moving forward!” To continue, James. Heavenly Father, provide me with your power and keep me safe. I managed to bring ALL of us together! There is so much more I want to say but simply can’t at the moment. My brother, till we meet again!
The night before the fatal collision, James and Bryant spent an intimate time together.
In a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, James achieved a career milestone by moving past Bryant into third place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
During his performance that evening, James wore a pair of sneakers designed to honor the Lakers’ illustrious past. Bryant later posted an Instagram message to congratulate James on the achievement.
“We’re going to the second level, @kingjames! Bryant urged the industry to “keep growing” and “charting the path for the next” in his letter.

Bryant talked to the Los Angeles Times about James’ 2018 transfer to Los Angeles and how he felt about his former nemesis joining the Lakers family in the days leading up to the big reveal.
“When LeBron came to Los Angeles, he is now a Laker, he is part of our brotherhood, our fraternity, and we should embrace him that way,” he stated. While he is still here, you should rejoice and recognize his athletic abilities. Recognize the greatness of this man and the achievements he has made.
Bryant is survived by his wife of 17 years, Vanessa Bryant, and their three daughters, aged 17, 3, and 7 months: Natalia.
