Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo with a classy Adrian Griffin move after thrιllеr vs. Sixers

After the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Philadelphia 76ers in a barnburner in their season opener, a couple of significant marks were made involving big-man Giannis Antetokounmpo and head coach Adrian Griffin.

Griffin was giving Antetokounmpo the game ball at the conclusion of his post-game remarks, following his record-breaking run of career field goals for the Bucks. Since it was the Greek Freak’s first victory as head coach, he took the ball, bounced it once, and gave it right back to Griffin.

Here’s a little announcement, okay? Giannis Antetokounmpo has the most field goals in the franchise’s history, Griffin remarked as he passed the ball to the standout Buck.

With a broad smile on his face, coach Griffin was showered with water by the players as Antetokounmpo declared, “First win as a head coach” and returned the ball. Griffin was surrounded by laughs as he exited the locker area due to the intense water splashes.

Damian Lillard, a new addition to the squad, had a fantastic first game for the Bucks, scoring 39 points and pulling down eight rebounds. In addition to smashing the team record for field goals made, Antetokounmpo finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

It won’t be Antetokounmpo’s final field goal for the franchise, and it won’t be Griffin’s final victory as head coach of the Bucks either, as they play the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Milwaukee’s schedule is easy to navigate because they play five of their first seven games at home.
