LeBron James is making the basket on the floor and in movies.
The basketball winner plays himself in the first trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy. He has to save his on-screen son Dom after his tech skills get him and the athlete stuck in an entertainment server.
As James tries to find a “banned” Bugs Bunny, the trailer takes him through some of Hollywood’s most famous movies, such as Wonder Woman and The Matrix.
He says in the video, “Let’s end this,” as he and his Looney Tunes co-stars fight the Goon Squad.
In the hit 1996 live-action movie, Michael Jordan played the lead role. Now James is taking over.
The movie is directed by Malcolm D. Lee, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is also in charge of producing it. Don Cheadle plays a part too.

According to James, 36, it’s one of the biggest games he’s ever played in, if not the biggest game he’s ever played in. “The Goon Squad is probably the best team ever assembled in basketball history.”
James, who played himself in the 2015 movie Trainwreck in a very funny way, told the source that he was first asked to be in a new Space Jam movie 15 years ago, but he “didn’t think I was ready to do anything of that magnitude.”
On July 16, Space Jam: A New Legacy will be available in cinemas and on HBO Max.
