However, they have a lot of love for each other.

After the game, Durant talked about this and said that LeBron is the guy that everyone compares themselves to. Durant said, “Watch the highlights after a lot of my games over the course of my career to see what he did.” I became friends with him when I was a senior in high school. He was in his third or fourth year of the league and was dominating. He was someone who inspired me to want to play at that level when I got to college.

“You just compare yourself to that person, and if you can do some of the things that person has done, that means you’re doing pretty well for yourself.” That guy is just a test to see how good you are as a player. Everyone in the league looked up to him in that way.

There is always that one player who really shows what an age is like. Once upon a time, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan were the players that everyone wanted to be like. But now, it’s LeBron James, and Durant has been that player his whole career.

But during this game against the Lakers, Durant was reminded of how hard it is to deal with LeBron’s savant-level basketball IQ.
