While Jordan’s second season with the Boston Celtics comes to an end, Jayson Tatum has been named his new face. The Jordan name is changing. People thought they would sign players since their present brand ambassadors are old and no longer at their best. Getting some young guys with a lot of potential is a good idea. And I already have a lot of fans for him. I think he’d be a big star on a Championship team. This will make Jordan much better than its competitors for sure. The real question, though, is whether Tatum will gain as much as Brand.

Dwyane Wade left Jordan in 2012 to sign with Li-Ning. Wade took a big risk by going after Li-Ning because she wasn’t as well known in the US as Jordan. But Dwyane took it anyway because it was a chance to make his own brand the best. When you sign with Jordan, you don’t play for your own team. I hear you play for Michael Jackson.

Don’t get me wrong—Jordan is a great name for skateboarders. Jordan is a great name of sports shoes. Plus, who wouldn’t want to be able to wear all of the special shoes that the “GOAT” did? But Jayson Tatum should have signed with Nike directly if he wants to be the player he wants to be—an MVP and a winner.

In the end, it all comes down to shoes with names on them. The best way for a player to get known is to have their own shoe. Not every pair of shoes from Jordan is the same. Shoes from Nike and Adidas are different. The name Michael Jordan is already well-known, and having a signature shoe under Jordan brings the signature player and Jordan together.
