Milwaukee Bucks Face Playful Taunts After Flavor Flav’s Unique National Anthem Rendition

Sadly, the Milwaukee Bucks were already down before their Sunday night game against the Atlanta Hawks even got underway. Rapper Flavor Flav had just finished playing the National Anthem on the court before the game.

It’s safe to assume that the 64-year-old’s rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner wasn’t all that well-received by the crowd at this point.

One of the highlights of the pregame entertainment is always the singing of the national anthem prior to tipoff. At the Fiserv Forum on Sunday, Flavor Flav, real name William Jonathan Daryton Jr., won that title. Not surprise, Flavor Flav’s assignment to the Bucks organization was met with fierce criticism on Twitter, not just from the artist but also from the company itself:

It’s true that the Bucks suffered a 127-110 blowout loss in their season-opening match. Milwaukee couldn’t match up with Trae Young and company on this particular occasion, so it was a nasty game from the start.

Damian Lillard made an incredible debut before settling back down. The seven-time All-Star finished with four boards, five rebounds, six turnovers, and just six points on 2-of-12 shooting.

It’s anyone’s guess, though, whether Flavor Flav and his dubious performance of the national anthem contributed to the defeat.
