Russell scored five of his 28 points in the last 1:43 seconds to help the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Orlando Magic 106-103 on Monday (Tuesday, October 31, Manila time).
The Lakers’ Anthony Davis scored 26 points and grabbed 19 rebounds, and LeBron James added 19 points in 33 minutes. James had played 39 minutes in overtime at Sacramento and lost.
They are now 2-0 at home, but they have lost both of their road games this season.
Gary Harris scored 17 points for the Magic after coming off the bench. He made 6 of 6 shots from the field and 5 of 5 from 3-point range. Franz Wagner had 16 points and 8 rebounds, and Jalen Suggs had 15 points and 8 rebounds.
