The NBA player’s playful homage to his NBA team’s “Showtime Lakers” past by adopting Beetlejuice’s famous “showtime” catchphrase.

The NBA player, 38, donned a Beetlejuice costume from the 1988 film of the same name, while Savannah, 37, looked amazing in the role of Miss Argentina.

In an Instagram Reels that were made on Tuesday, LeBron and Savannah featured pictures of their costumes.

The NBA player looked amazing in the character’s recognizable maroon suit, replete with a full face of makeup a la Beetlejuice and her trademark shaggy hair.

“IT’S TIME FOR SHOW! GLORIOUS HALLOWEEN, YOU ANIMALS! But really, dude! Just say my name three times,” LeBron captioned the picture.

Known for his tagline “It’s Showtime,” the Beetlejuice character in the movie may be jokingly alluding to the Showtime Lakers era that his NBA club had beginning in 1979, when Magic Johnson was selected by the team.

A trigger warning for “effects makeup” accompanied Savannah’s post on her page as she wore Miss Argentina’s gown and sash (swapped for a Mrs. Akron, Ohio sash) and commented, “Miss Argentina but from 330.” The caption said, “And the bane of the underworld, Beetlejuice.”

The mother of three dressed up to the nines for her Halloween, even painting her entire body teal.

After dating through high school, LeBron and Savannah tied the knot in 2013. LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., 19, Bryce Maximus, 16, and Zhuri Nova, 9, are their three children together. 

The couple has long been admirers of Halloween. According to The Los Angeles Times, they held their yearly Halloween party in 2019 and LeBron dazzled as Edward Scissorhands. Savannah looked just as stunning in her Medusa costume.

The couple celebrated Zhuri’s ninth birthday earlier this month and posted sweet tributes to their only daughter on social media.

“Happy Bday My Princess Z,” LeBron wrote in the caption of his carousel of snaps. “Love you ️ and more!!! 🤎🤎🤎🤎.” The father-of-three’s post contained an image of Zhuri smiling in front of a multicolored balloon backdrop with a “Happy Birthday” light.

“My favorite girl’s birthday!🫶🏾🤎,” Savannah wrote as the caption for a video that showed her conversing with her daughter on a pink chair. “It’s unbelievable that my baby is 9🥲 #ZhuriNova,” she remarked with sweetness.

Along with sharing pictures of his sister on his Instagram Story, big brother Bronny James also shared a video of her sitting in a cardboard box next to the family dog, Indigo, with the caption, “lil sis day happy birthday z love youuu.” Then, he posted a selfie with his younger sister with the words “libra sznnnnnn.”

When the Los Angeles Lakers player went up to win the Best Record-Breaking Performance trophy at the ESPYs in July, he gave a shoutout to his wife.

LeBron remarked, “If any of you know her—I know there are a few people here who know her—you know she doesn’t ever do s— like this, ever.”

“Plus, I adore that you all get to witness the queen I live with on a daily basis. Bravo to you, darling.”

“No one has sacrificed more and worked harder to support this family than you, and I appreciate that, love you,” he said, going on.
