The Phoenix Suns lost a heartbreaker to the San Antonio Spurs in their own arena, Footprint Center, by a score of 114-115.

Devin Booker, a star defensive player for the Phoenix Suns, told TNT’s Brian Anderson and Reggie Miller that he hopes to return to the court soon.

Booker continued, “When I am not participating, I will be able to focus more on watching the game. Therefore, by taking a more detached perspective, I am better able to identify the flaws in the players’ existing approach to the game. I can’t wait to return there.

Last Thursday, Devin Booker led the Phoenix Suns to a season-opening 108-104 home victory over the Golden State Warriors behind 32 points. Unfortunately, he was forced to retire after that match due to an injury to his left ankle.

Booker was spotted on November 1 at the Suns’ practice facility working on his throwing and landing with his ankles supported.

The 27-year-old has missed the last three games for his squad, including their recent 114-115 loss to the San Antonio Spurs at Footprint Center.

Victor Wembanyama, a young striker who stands at 2 meters and 24 centimeters, has been crucial to Spurs’ comeback. With 49 ticks left on the clock, he made a jump throw of moderate range, cutting the deficit to three points. The next play, he had another tremendous dunk, giving Spurs hope that they could close the gap.

It appears as though the Phoenix Suns’ lineup is in complete disarray. The Spurs employ a 1-1 field-wide defensive tactic whenever a throw-in is taken. Kevin Durant, a star player, fumbled the ball after being “surrounded” by three opponents in white uniforms. With 1.2 seconds remaining, San Antonio’s Keldon Johnson took advantage of a scoring chance and hit a jumper to give his team a 115-114 lead.

Kevin Durant went for a buzzer-beating shot, but missed it. The 2023–2024 NBA season started off well for Coach Gregg Popovich and his team, as they won their first road game.
