By the end of the first half, Miami had a 16-point lead. The best play of the evening came from forward Haywood Highsmith early in the second half.

Dorian Finney-Smith of the Nets drove in the lane with the intention of finishing with a poster. Highsmith, on the other hand, sprang up and made a huge block to stop the dunk. After review, the call that had been ruled a foul was reversed.
