Unfortunately for some who wаnted to wait, the City Edition jerseys were leaked a few weeks ago on Twitter, where people got to see a glimpse of what their new jerseys would look like for the season.

Milwaukee’s new uniform comes in a blue colorway, similar to what they did as part of their City Edition jerseys the last two years. This year’s City Edition uniform will also have an alternative option as well.

This uniform was designed to highlight the team’s role in Milwaukee and the community, calling it the “gathering place” where all Wisconsin sports fans can come together in their love of basketball and the state of Wisconsin. The jersey also has a “Deer District” stamp in the bottom right corner, representing the Deer District outside of Fiserv Forum that formed during the historic 2021 NBA Championship run, where fans gathered to cheer on the Bucks as they brought home the title for the first time in 50 years.

The light blue in color represents the Great Lakes, with a speckle pattern that was actually created by an image of the masses of people who gathered together in the Deer District back in 2021, and per the Bucks, “serves as an abstract representation of the fans worldwide who are brought together to celebrate the Bucks throughout the year.”

Bucks’ Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Dustin Godsey said that they don’t take the bond the team has with the fans for granted, and they wаnted to give back with this uniform.

“We do not take the bond we have developed with our fans for granted and take great pride in our role in bringing our communities together,” Godsey said. “The indelible images of our fans packed in Deer District during the 2021 playoffs educated the world on something we have long known – we have the best fans in the NBA, and this uniform pays homage to them.”

On Friday, Nov. 3, the Bucks will play their first-ever In-Season Tournament matchup of the season against the New York Knicks, donning their new City Edition clothes. Following that, the jersey will be worn for the remaining seven home games of the season, which will include five home games against their 2021 playoff opponents and the other In-Season Tournament match on November 24.
