Warriors Triumph: Steph Curry’s 34-Point Performance Drives 120-109 Win Against the Pistons

On Monday night, the Golden State Warriors beat the Detroit Pistons 120-109. The Warriors played poorly and barely beat a lottery club without key players in key positions. However, the Dubs will start the season off with a victory.

Even though the Warriors were playing the second game of a back-to-back with their full roster available, the team consistently looked fatigued. Before Steph Curry got going, the Pistons went out to an early lead in the first quarter.

Pistons rookies Cade Cunningham, Killian Hayes, and Ausar Thompson were instrumental in keeping their team in the game for the majority of the night. With 21 points, 4 boards, and 5 dimes, Cunningham had a solid game. Hayes, who is notoriously inefficient from the field, shot 8 for 11 (including 3 for 4 from deep) and finished with 21 points, four boards, and eight assists.
