The Dodgers and Marlins played their second game of a doubleheader on Saturday night. Lakers star LeBron James and his family were there.
Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri, their three children, sat behind James and Savannah, who were put in the front of the room. James’s assistant, Rich Paul, was also there.
At the same time as the appearance, the Dodgers gave away a LeBron James bobblehead that night. The bobblehead showed James wearing a Los Angeles Lakers shirt and holding a basketball in his right hand. He was also wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers jersey.
Lakers fans fought in a trivia challenge before the game to see who would throw out the ceremonial first pitch. James, on the other hand, didn’t go to any of the pre-game events. Bronny had a heart attack at a USC basketball practice on July 24. This is one of the few public appearances of James and his family since then.
The 18-year-old was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment. He was kept under observation there until the end of the week when he was released. James put out a statement the same day:
Thank you so much to everyone who sent well wishes to my family and friends. James answered, “We feel you, and I’m so happy for you.” Everything is fine. All of our family and friends are here with us, and everyone is healthy and safe. Until then, please know how much your support means to me and the rest of the team.
Soon after, James posted a video of Bronny playing the piano on social media. The two were recently photographed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
James and his family looked happy and healthy during Saturday’s game, and the Los Angeles Lakers gave James, a four-time NBA champion, $100,000 to give to his LeBron James Family Foundation.
Everyone in the sold-out crowd cheered loudly when his picture appeared on the video screen.
