Cam Reddish came into the NBA a few years ago with a lot of promise. He was the 10th pick in the 2019 draft, and a lot of people thought he had a lot of star potential.
But he wasn’t very good in his first four seasons. He only scored 10.3 points per game on average and shot 39.9% from the field and 32.2% from three-point range. It’s possible that some people thought he had lost his appeal.
But the Los Angeles Lakers liked him so much that they signed him as a free agent this summer. He had a rough start to the season, but since head coach Darvin Ham put him in the starting group, he has played very well in his last two games.
In his last two games, he has scored 35 points by making 12 of 20 shots overall and 6 of 11 from three-point range. He has also grabbed 10 rebounds and stolen six balls. He said that the setting around him is the most supportive he has ever had after the team beat the Portland Trail Blazers 116–110 on Sunday.
This forward said that the Lakers are different from his other NBA teams because they are trying to win and fight for a world championship. Also, the fact that he seems to have a clear job on this team instead of just being expected to score goals whenever he wants helps.
