Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has reached a lifetime deal with Nike, two people familiar with the negotiations told USA TODAY Sports

USA TODAY Sports has learned that LeBron James, the star player for the LA, has signed a lifetime deal with Nike.

They asked to remain anonymous because they weren’t allowed to talk to the public until Nike made the deal official.

LeBron James reaches lifetime deal with Nike

James has had a deal with Nike since he first joined the NBA. It was for seven years and $93 million. In 2010, he made a new deal with Nike that paid him more and kept him there longer.

Forbes magazine said that from February 2014 to January 2015, Nike sold $340 million worth of shoes with James’ name on them. Forbes said James makes about $44 million a year from deals, on top of the $20 million or more he makes from the Cavaliers.
