Unfortunately, Steph Curry suffered an injury. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson were ejected after only two minutes. Without their Big Three, the Warriors’ offense was struggling, but they kept it close against the league-best Minnesota Timberwolves.
Golden State lost their fourth straight game 104-101 on Tuesday night as youngster Brandin Podziemski made his best case for more minutes coming forward. He scored 23 points, making him the first Warrior besides Curry to do so this year. The second to do so was Dario Saric, who finished with 21 points and gave the Warriors the lead with a game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds.
However, the Timberwolves held a little advantage in terms of stamina. Karl-Anthony Towns made a 3 to give Minnesota a lead and Mike Conley nailed the dagger 3 to end it. With these latest defeats, the Warriors’ record drops to 6-6 overall and 1-4 at home.
The Warriors’ current home stand will conclude with games on Monday against the surging Houston Rockets, after which they will host two more games against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday and Saturday. Prior to Thanksgiving, the Warriors will travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns before returning home for yet another lengthy home stand.
