In a game during the NBA’s regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 134–107, making their winning streak to three games. The Lakers got their second win in the event with 23 points from Rui Hachimura, and D’Angelo Russell scored 24 points to lead the team. They are now 5-0 at home this season.
The Lakers’ Anthony Davis had a great game with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Austin Reaves and LeBron James each scored 16 points.
The team had a great shooting night, making 22 three-pointers, which is a club record. The Lakers made 62.9 percent of their shots from beyond the line, with Russell making 6 of 8 attempts.
LeBron James played again after missing the last game because of a sprained left calf. In just 23 minutes, he made a big difference by grabbing nine boards and passing the ball six times.
David Roddy scored 17 points for the Grizzlies, and Santi Aldama scored 24 points for them. But the Grizzlies had trouble because they were missing Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, Derrick Rose, Ja Morant (banned), Marcus Smart (ankle injury), and Luke Kennard (knee pain).
The Lakers controlled the first quarter and went into the second quarter ahead 37–26. They continued to play well throughout the game. The Lakers’ fifth straight win at home and their second in the in-season event showed how good they are at scoring and how tough they are on the court.
