Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James scored a triple-double in the National Basketball Association (NBA) regular championship game on Wednesday, but it did not save his team from losing to the Sacramento Kings.

James scored 28 points, grabbed ten rebounds, and gave 11 assists, but the Los Angeles team lost at home 110-125 (25-38, 34-34, 21-32, 30-21).

For James, this was the first of the season and the 108th “triple-double” of his 21-year NBA career, which allowed him to overtake Jason Kidd and rank fifth in the history of the league. Only Russell Westbrook (198), Oscar Robertson (181), Magic Johnson (138), and Nikola Jokic (109) have more such games.

D’Angelo Russell also scored 28 points for the Lakers in Wednesday’s match, while Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis scored 29+16 for the Kings, who won their fourth consecutive victory. Kevin Huerter and De’Aaron Fox scored 28 points each for the winners.

In another match, the Phoenix “Dogs” convincingly beat the Minnesota “Timberwolves” at home with 133:115 (35:29, 41:25, 34:28, 23:33), stopping the opponent’s seven-game winning streak. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker scored 31 points for the home team, while Karl-Anthony Towns scored 25 points for the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, Toronto “Raptors” and Portland “Trail Blazers” teams experienced losses at home. The Toronto team recognized the superiority of the Milwaukee Bucks with 112:128 (21:36, 26:34, 32:30, 33:28), and the Trail Blazers with 95:109 (25:30, 22:25, 28:28, 20:26) conceded to Cleveland Cavaliers basketball players.

Scotty Barnes scored 29 points for the Raptors, while Damian Lillard contributed to the Bucks’ victory with 37 points and 13 assists. Malik Beasley scored another 30 points for the winners. In the Trail Blazers’ loss to the home team, six players scored at least 11 points, but Jerami Grant was the top scorer with 17. Darius Garland led the Cavaliers with 34 points.
