Basketball fans were shocked by LUKA Doncic’s most recent social media post.
The 24-year-old star guard for the Dallas Mavericks missed the playoffs for the first time since his first year in the league.
And Doncic is a man with a plan now that the NBA summer is almost over.
At the start of the 2021–2022 NBA season, Doncic was said to weigh a huge 260 pounds.
He dropped back down to 240 pounds for the next season, which is closer to his weight during his first season.
The Slovenian posted a picture of himself on Instagram with Nikola Jovicevic, a 19-year-old defender for the Slovenian soccer team NS Maura.
NBA fans have noticed that Luka, who is 6 feet 7 inches tall, looks thinner.
Someone wrote, “Next year the NBA is going to be a mess.”
Someone else said, “This looks like it was Photoshopped. I see you, Luka.”
“League is in serious trouble!” said a third.
A fourth person asked, “Who is this guy?”
The most points Doncic ever scored in a game was 32.4 in 2022.
Last week, Kyrie Irving, Luka’s partner, was said to have asked former Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James to join the two of them to make a new “Big 3.”
James and Irving won an NBA title together in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. For the past few years, they have been trying to get back together.
This summer, Irving will be able to sign with any team he wants. James, on the other hand, is locked up with the Lakers until at least 2024.
But because LeBron makes $46.9 million a year, a trade is not likely, especially since Doncic would have to be part of the deal.
