Jimmy Butler has been a beast on the court, leading his youthful and gritty Miami Heat club to an average of 21 points, six boards, and seven assists per game. Not only is he dominating on the court, but he also seems to be having a blast off the court as the latest TAG Heuer brand ambassador.
“Jimmy Buckets” himself showcased his enthusiasm for this fresh business idea on Instagram today, writing, “around here, we say pressure makes diamonds or pressure bursts pipes”. Making sure I’m turning that pressure into diamonds is my number one priority. Being part of a family of athletes that relentlessly pursue victory is an honor, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to become TAG Heuer’s newest brand ambassador.
Butler has joined the ranks of other famous people who own watches made in Switzerland, including tennis stars Petre Kvitova and Naomi Osaka as well as Grey’s Anatomy actor Patrick Dempsey. In all of Butler’s official appearances, from the tunnel walk before the game to the postgame interview and beyond, a TAG Heuer watch will be visible.
Since inking a multi-year signature footwear deal with Chinese sportswear giant Li-Ning in November 2020, this is perhaps the largest agreement for the five-time NBA All-Star.
