With 1.9 seconds left, James made the game-winning free throw to cap off a season-high 37 points, helping the Lakers defeat the Houston Rockets 105-104 on Sunday night.

In addition, with 2,290 3-pointers, he went up to tie Vince Carter for seventh place, and with 2,208 steals, he passed Clyde Drexler for eighth place.

Another exciting performance was delivered by James and Brooks, who have a good rivalry dating back to the Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies playoff series from the previous season.

After forcing Brooks early in the third quarter, James was given a technical foul; nevertheless, he later made a “too small” gesture on the floor after he outscored Brooks.

With 58 seconds left, Anthony Davis fouled out despite scoring 27 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Reaves scored 17 points after coming off the bench.

With 24 points, including a season-high six 3-pointers, Brooks led the Rockets, followed by Sengun with 23. Houston has won five in a row before losing its next two.
