Butler’s Brilliance Leads Heat to Resounding 118-100 Victory Over Bulls, Securing Commanding Lead

Just like before, the first three quarters were breezes. The first 36 minutes of a Miami Heat game at the United Center did not feature a deficit for the second game in a row.

After not falling behind until the very last second of Saturday night’s first game of this five-game journey, the focus shifted to the fourth quarter.

On Monday night, the Heat defeated the Chicago Bulls 118-100, extending their winning streak to eight games in a row. This was the second game in three nights in which the Heat led entering the final session. The Heat had their first double-digit win of the year with this triumph.

Just two nights after letting a 21-point lead slip away, the Heat finally found their rhythm and kept their foot on the throttle long enough to put everyone’s minds at ease.

While center Bam Adebayo had 23 points, 11 boards, and 6 assists, guard Duncan Robinson had 22 points (including 6 3-pointers), guard Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 19 points (including 3 3-pointers), and forward Jimmy Butler had 16 points (despite not playing in the fourth quarter), so he was not needed for any late heroics.

The journey begins on Wednesday night with a game against the Cavaliers, and it ends with a pair of games against the Nets and the Knicks on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
