Both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Indiana Pacers in the East were the first teams to make it to the quarterfinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament. They did this by going perfect in the group stage.

On the same day that LeBron James accomplished the miraculous feat of scoring 39,000 points in his career, the Los Angeles Lakers team celebrated by beating the Phoenix Suns 131–99 at home!

With this win, the purple-and-yellow team won Group A of the NBA In-Season Tournament and became the first Western team to make it to the semifinals.

In the East this morning, the Indiana Pacers beat the Atlanta Hawks with an amazing score of 157-152 (no OT).
