One of the funniest advertisements of the year for Chase Freedom Unlimited credit cards features Kevin Hart and Steph Curry together. The idea behind the commercial, which stars two of the biggest names in basketball and entertainment, is that Kevin Hart bought the Gold State Warriors with his Chase Freedom card.
Curry is practicing a few shots at the Chase Centre when the hilarious Hart storms onto the stadium. This is how the advertisement opens. He starts giving instructions like a traditional new owner, telling everyone that the stadium seats “have gotta go.” Curry stops his session upon witnessing Hart’s absurd antics and asks his new supervisors, “What kind of plan is that?” in shock. After making a few hilariously poor shots, Hart storms off, yelling, “I bought the team.”
The advertisement has received a lot of attention online and is frequently cited as a work of art.
The bloopers, however, are possibly even funnier than the advertisement itself. Curry shared several hilarious videos of the two actors cracking jokes off-camera and the takes that were cut from the commercial on his Instagram.
“#ChasePartner” I’m not sure if I’ve ever laughed harder on a comedy show than when I was with my brother, @kevinhart4real. Thank you, @chase Thank you, freedom, for uniting us! The point guard suggested the caption, “Put a heart on it!!!” #CashBros.
“My Brother!!!!!!” Loved working with you, man. We’re just getting started,” the comedian responded. This response has fans hoping for more collaborations in the future.
