The museum will be housed at House Three Thirty in Akron, Ohio, and will honor all of LeBron James’ accomplishments. His mother Gloria James carefully selected items for his Spring Hill Apartment #602, which is where the immersive experience starts. Fans are taken on an exciting trip that includes his 2003 NBA Draft, his legendary Fab Five years at St. Vincent – St. Mary’s, and his championship campaigns in Cleveland, Miami, and Los Angeles. His years of winning an Olympic gold medal are emphasized, as well as his commercial and charitable endeavors, and his sense of belonging. Among the noteworthy items are his original TV from his Spring Hill apartment, his McDonald’s All-American high school jersey, the infamous 3-1 drum set, and his all-white 2003 NBA Draft suit.
LeBron said in a statement, “It means a lot to me to have a venue in my hometown where I can share my story with my supporters from all around the world. My aim has always been to put Akron on the map. Over the years, I have been known to hold onto a lot of items, but I always believed there would be a right moment and setting for them to be displayed. House Three Thirty is a location my Foundation established to support my I Promise families and the community at large, and I’m really proud of it.
Tickets for the November 25 opening of the LeBron James’ Home Court exhibit are now on presale.
