With a final score of 113-96, the Boston Celtics suffered their worst loss of the season in their away game against the Orlando Magic on Friday afternoon. Throughout the game, the Magic outplayed the Celtics in terms of sheer will to win, and their desire to prove themselves in the league and challenge more seasoned NBA players was highlighted by their victory.
One of the Celtics’ ongoing problems has been giving up second-chance scores and poor defensive rebounding. Other areas that require work include instances of bad shot selection, insufficient transition defense, and an incapacity to shield leads. It was also cause for concern that star forward Jayson Tatum was not getting many touches on a night when Jaylen Brown was struggling to find any place on the floor to connect.
Abby Chin was joined on “Postgame Live” by Eddie House, Brian Scalabrine, and Drew Carter of NBC Sports Boston to discuss it.
