Although the regular season has only been underway for a little over a month, Adrian Griffin, the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, has already proven to be the best choice.
In what has been an exciting first month at the helm, the rookie coach has seen his fair share of ups and downs, but overall, he’s done a fantastic job leading the squad.
Adrian Griffin Has Nothing But Love for Milwaukee Bucks
The amazing comeback victory on Sunday over the Portland Trail Blazers served as just another illustration of Griffin’s composure under duress. While Giannis Antetokounmpo undoubtedly took the lead for the Bucks in the game, Coach Griff deserves a great deal of credit for masterminding the 26-point comeback.
Griffin showered his team with compliments following their outstanding performance against the Blazers. The 49-year-old acknowledged the difficult journey his team has had to travel over the last month, but he is still incredibly pleased of how they have collectively overcome the hardship:
Regarding Sunday’s victory, Griffin stated, “I think we started out the game OK,” as reported by Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I simply believe that we must persevere in facing hardships.” Occasionally, it can be discouraging for our squad when we miss a layup or a shot. However, such things do happen. We only need to persevere and make an effort to prevent one possession from growing into three, four, five, or six. This team is amazing. We work hard as a team. And we simply must stick together. Our team has a lot expected of them, and I believe they’ve been doing a good job managing it. However, things do happen occasionally. We must continue to fight and stand together because nothing is ever going to be perfect, and I believe we accomplished that. I felt that we demonstrated our true selves.
The Bucks will undoubtedly face greater and more difficult obstacles in the future. Since they are able to put their character to the test at an early age, you could argue that all of these early hardships are beneficial.
Adrian Griffin will be their devoted mentor, helping them along the way.
