A new, very lucrative contract with Under Armour has put NBA superstar Steph Curry on the fast track to become a billionaire.

In a new long-term collaboration, the Golden State Warriors legend will become president of his own Curry Brand, in addition to being a partner with the apparel company.

Once you include in the yearly base salary, stock equity, royalties on signature products, and on-court incentive bonuses, the possible lifetime contract may be worth over $1 billion, according to Rolling Stone.

Under Armour stock valued at $75 million is part of the acquisition.

By the completion of his current deal in the 2025–26 season, Curry will have earned $470 million, adding to the $350 million he has earned thus far in his NBA career.

His endorsement deals with companies like Google, JPMorgan Chase, Rakuten, and CarMax, in addition to his prior deal with Under Armour, brought in millions more.

Unanimous Media, Curry’s production firm, has produced a number of works, such as books, podcasts, and an Apple TV+ documentary about the NBA player. It has also produced the ABC golf entertainment show Holey Moley.

Curry became president of his own Curry Brand

With his contract with Under Armour, Curry stands to make the most money of any of his previous deals.

As an alternative to Nike’s Jordan Brand, Under Armour has The Curry Brand.

“I couldn’t imagine Under Armour without Stephen, or Stephen without Under Armour,” stated Kevin Plank, founder of Under Armour.

Much of the future work on Curry’s new deal will revolve toward acquiring athletes to represent the Curry Brand, as it is expected to last after his playing career.

The brand could make Curry a billionaire

De’Aaron Fox, a point guard for the Sacramento Kings, became the first player to sign a multi-year agreement with the Curry Brand last month.

The brand’s relationship with UConn women’s basketball star Azzi Fudd is nonexistent.

“We’re going to have an investment in the roster of athletes – men and women, from various sports – that want to be a part of the UA and Curry Brand family,” said Curry.

“That’s where I think the biggest growth can come.”

In becoming a billionaire, Curry would be joining the ranks of greats like Tiger Woods, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James.

Like Kevin Durant, another ex-Warrior, he is destined to become a billionaire.
