To go to the quarterfinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament, the Kings upset the Warriors on Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center by erasing a 24-point deficit.

In the final seconds of regulation, the Kings rallied for a nail-biting victory, 124-123, thanks to a wild shot by Malik Monk and Steph Curry, who missed the buzzer by a hair.

In the last game of West Group C, Sacramento won and advanced if they defeated the Warriors or lost by 11 points or less.

On Monday, January 7th, at 7 o’clock PT, the Sacramento Kings will host the New Orleans Pelicans. On Wednesday, the NBA is likely to reveal the schedule for the quarterfinals.

Both of the Kings’ games against the Pelicans this season have been setbacks, with losses at New Orleans on November 20 and 22.

With 29 points to lead the team, De’Aaron Fox spearheaded the Kings’ offensive effort.

The Kings also had players in double digits from Malik Monk (21), Kevin Huerter (21), and Harrison Barnes (12).

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins all had strong games for the Warriors, scoring 78 points apiece, which is a rarity for this season.

With three assists, eight points, and six rebounds in thirty-three minutes, Draymond Green made his comeback from a five-game suspension.

The other quarterfinal in the West will be hosted by the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers and will feature the wild-card Phoenix Suns.

On Thursday, December 7, the two teams that won the West quarterfinal games will face off in the In-Season Tournament semifinal. The victor of that game will have the opportunity to go on to Saturday, December 9, for the NBA Cup title.

Two quarterfinal games will take place in the Eastern Conference. In one, the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks will face the New York Knicks, who are a wild card, while in the other, the Indiana Pacers will face the Boston Celtics.
