After sitting out two games with a foot injury, Kevin Durant returned to lead Phoenix with 30 points, with 11 of those points coming in the fourth quarter. Devin Booker, another top player, contributed just eight points. This was the first loss for the Suns since their November 12 home game against the Thunder.

Booker, who had previously beaten the Knicks on Sunday with a 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds to play, missed a 3-pointer with 50 seconds to play, which would have tied the game. With no three-pointers in his arsenal, Booker was 2 for 12 overall.

Final score: Suns - 105, Raptors - 112

Suns guard Jusuf Nurkic had 19 points and 14 boards, but the team’s 7 for 26 shooting from outside the arc was their lowest point total this season. From beyond the arc, Durant sank two of eight shots. Ten points were scored by both Eric Gordon and Josh Okogie.

In a first victory in three games, the Raptors were led by Dennis Schroder’s season-high twelve assists. O.G. Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. each had thirteen points, Jakob Poeltl seventeen, Precious Achiuwa ten rebounds, and Precious Achiuwa fourteen.

The Raptors, who suffered a loss at Brooklyn on Tuesday night, were able to play as if nothing had happened the previous night because their flight from New York was delayed and they didn’t land in Toronto until 4 a.m.
