On Wednesday, LeBron James called the Detroit Pistons for the first flopping technical foul of his professional career. The incident happened during the LA Lakers’ trip to Detroit in the third quarter.
Isiah Stewart saw James come into position and slowed down, so James attempted to seize the lead. The Pistons big man gave the Lakers star a shove, causing him to fall to the ground.
It’s interesting to note that LeBron James and Isiah Stewart are not exactly friends. They got into a nasty two years ago, during which Stewart injured himself above the eye.
The Pistons forward attempted to James many times while was streaming down his forehead; players, referees, and security guards had to separate him. Both players received bans and were removed from the game.
Throughout the Wednesday night game, they had been shoving each other. James is already on the bench with the Lakers leading 20 points at the conclusion of the third quarter, so it appears that his most recent with Stewart is coming to an end.
