Lakers Injury Update: Lakers expected to welcome back Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura tomorrow night against the Rockets

During the 2023–24 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a lot of illnesses, and players have been in and out of the lineup.

Lakers get major Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt injury updates

The Lakers have had the most trouble with their wing depth because Jarred Vanderbilt has yet to make his start and Cam Reddish missed time with an adductor injury. L.A. also had to deal with Rui Hachimura missing time this week because he broke his nose in their loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The fracture was fixed surgically on Hachimura, and everything seemed to go well.

But things are looking better now that the Lakers have released their injury report for Saturday’s game against the Houston Rockets. Vanderbilt and Hachimura are both not on it, which means they should be able to play. Of course, both Reddish and Jaxson Hayes are sure to come back as well.

Vanderbilt, who has been dealing with left heel bursitis, will play in his first game of the season. Hachimura hasn’t played in a week because he broke his nose.

The Lakers would benefit a lot from getting Hachimura back as soon as possible because he’s one of the few players on the team who can make his own shot and crash the boards. The team has had a lot of trouble this season scoring and getting boards in the half-court, so Hachimura’s presence is badly missed.

There have been many players who have played with masks on to protect their noses, so this shouldn’t have too much of an effect on the Japanese player’s game.

While Vanderbilt is also great to have back, he will probably only be able to play a certain number of minutes because he was out for so long.

Anthony Davis wants to see the Lakers get better before giving his opinion.
