The Indiana Pacers will be playing in Florida on Saturday night against the Miami Heat.
During the game, Jimmy Butler broke the NBA scoring record, solidifying his place in NBA history.
Butler’s career point total of 14,014 as of this evening put him in #1 position, beating Fred Brown’s 14,018.
After Butler passes Brown, David West (14.034) will take his place.
Butler was averaging 21.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game entering the matchup. He shot 46.5% from the field and 40.5% from beyond the arc in 15 games.

Butler finished with 36 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 9/18 from the field in 38 minutes.
Following their loss to the Pacers, the Heat will fly to Toronto, Canada, to face the Raptors on Wednesday.
