One of them is where Austin Reaves was born on a farm. There are about 1,200 people living in the Arkansas town. Based on his age and height, Reaves seems like he fits in with city life.

They just beat the Magic 111-105 with 35 points, though, and he plays shooting guard for them. It was his favorite game ever.

Someone who worked with him at the University of Oklahoma called him “Hillbilly Kobe” because he was so good at scoring.

As a child, the boy played baseball, and his older brother Spencer taught him how to play basketball. Spencer moved to Germany and now plays for Brose Bamberg. Before that, he played for Juaristi in the EBA and Tizona Burgos in the LEB Oro.

Austin showed off his basketball skills right away. His parents taught him how to play. The average number of points his mother scored in a game at Arkansas State University was 21.3. His dad is the third most helpful player in school history.

In his last year of high school, he scored 32.5 points per game on average and 73 points in one game.

The fact that he kept hurting the labrum in both shoulders, which meant he would have to have surgery, was his biggest fear. Several colleges still got in touch with him, though.

That’s where he decided to go, and he did well for two years.

He then tried to move to Oklahoma, but the NCAA told him he couldn’t play for a year. He skipped the waiting.

He gained almost 10 kg of muscle and got stronger. During his last college season, he scored 18.4 points per game.

During the 2021 draft, though, no one paid attention. In August, the Lakers signed him to a two-way deal that let them send him to the G League.

Because of his shot, how well he knew the game, and most of all, how hard he worked, he quickly made the team. LeBron James, who was already a fan, was the first person he got to join.

Like his grandmother, he was a big Lakers and Kobe Bryant fan as a child. They often watched games together.
