Deuce Tatum, Jayson Tatum’s son, is a big fan of the Boston Celtics.
You can often see the 4-year-old boy cheering for his dad from the sidelines at TD Garden when he’s not on the court or with the team. As of Wednesday night, the Celtics were ahead 2-0 in the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Brooklyn Nets.
Following behind 24-year-old Jayson, Deuce skipped through the locker room after the game, which Boston won 114–107. The Celtics posted a video of this on their Instagram page.
Marcus Smart, the Celtics’ point guard and 2022 Defensive Player of the Year, yelled, “Yeah Deuce!” with excitement as Deuce came on, which made all of his peers cheer.
Before sitting down, Deuce got a high five from Daniel Theis, a center for the Celtics. In the clip, someone says, “He’s got a little skip to him!”
The Celtics also took a picture of Jayson and Deuce sitting next to each other in the locker room. Deuce was sitting on a black chair next to his dad’s locker, and they posted the picture on social media.
Jayson liked the picture so much that he tweeted it Thursday morning with the words “Nothing better than this dad s—t.”
A clip from ABC6 in Providence that was shared on Twitter shows Deuce having fun with a basketball on the court at TD Garden before Wednesday’s game.
