Jayson Tatum, who is only 24 years old, has already established himself as one of the most significant NBA players in the league right now. During the All-Star Game, the Boston Celtics star had what was perhaps the most exciting weekend of his career to date.
With 55 points, he broke the previous record for most points scored in the history of the game while making his Jordan Brand signature shoe debut. Taum also made NBA history as the youngest player to shoot 1,000 three-pointers. Tatum participated in the NBA Finals the previous season, and this year his Celtics are once again undefeated.
But his historic encounter with one of his childhood heroes throughout that historic weekend put the cherry on top of everything else. For those who don’t know, Taum is a huge baseball fan who has followed Albert Pujols’ career ever since he began playing in the league. Pujols, who recently shared a ton of photos from his weekend, participated in the Celebrity All-Star Game in addition to attending the All-Star Game. Tatum captioned the photo immediately after, saying, “Finally gotten a pic with one of my childhood heroes!!”Taum finds inspiration in the career of Albert Pujols.Jason Even though Tatum was a huge fan of Pujols as a youngster, the player still motivates him now with his MLB records. Jayson is already receiving recognition for his achievements and being compared to some of the best players of all time. After hitting an astounding 703 home runs in MLB history, the Dominican star recently announced his retirement. He ended his career just behind Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, and Barry Bonds. Tatum hopes to break records to the same extent in the future, and he relished Pujols’ most recent campaign. Even at the age of 24, Tatum still has a lot to offer, so we’ll be closely monitoring his progress.
