Kris Dunn and Luka Doncic engaged in a heated argument as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Utah Jazz.
Emotions ran high during Wednesday’s game between the Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks in a contest that transcended the score. Tensions increased when Luka Doncic and Kris Dunn got into a furious fight. Collin Sexton tried to break up the fight, but a coach had to stop him.
The confrontation started late in the third quarter when Dunn retaliated against Doncic’s hit following a Mavericks score. There were accusations and back-and-forths, and both players were given technical fouls as a result.
Although Sexton attempted at first to keep the rival players apart, he became involved in a heated argument with other Mavericks and needed one of his coaches to step in to stop things from getting worse.
The Mavericks easily defeated the Jazz 147-97, dominating the scoreboard in spite of the commotion off the court. Luka Doncic scored 40 points, dished out 11 assists, and pulled down 10 rebounds in just 32 minutes of action, displaying his triple-double prowess.
Tim Hardaway Jr. and Derrick Jones Jr. each supplied 17 and 12 points, while Kyrie Irving scored 26 points. With the overwhelming victory, Dallas finished first in the Southwest Division with a 12-8 record. In the meantime, the Jazz’s current NBA season record dropped to 7-14.
