Sure, the Pacers had a great performance, but outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo, every Bucks starter struggled to make their shots in the semifinals.

Following the 119-128 loss, Giannis Antetokounmpo shared his honest views on who deserves the blame for the embarrassing loss against the Pacers via The Athletic on Twitter.

“As much as I don’t want to throw anybody under the bus, at the end of the day, the players play the game,” Antetokounmpo said.

However, upon looking at the performances of Damian Lillard, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, and Malik Beasley, it’s no surprise that Antetokounmpo wants them to take the blame for the defeat.

The four players shot a combined 24-59 from the field, which is equivalent to shooting just 40.6% from the field.

On the other hand, Antetokounmpo shot 13-19 as he scored 37 points in the losing effort.

Pacers beat Bucks 128-119 to advance to face Lakers in NBA In-Season Tournament

The Bucks finished 15-7 in the regular season in addition to being ousted from the NBA In-Season Tournament.

If they keep losing crucial games like that, it’s difficult to picture the team winning the 2024 NBA Championship, even though they are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

Will there be a season-long improvement for the Bucks? Fans will learn more in the upcoming months, though.
