NBA fans are confused about Nikola Jokic’s ejection from the Nuggets-Bulls game.
Nick Jokić was kicked out of the Nuggets vs. Bulls game on Tuesday night after a short argument with a referee.
After a play where Jokić thought he was fouled, the big man from Denver jogged back down the court to defend himself while yelling at one of the judges.
When the next break came around, Jokić was told to leave the floor. He got a double technical foul and was kicked out of the game before the end of the first half.
Jokić was confused and kept pleading his case for a while longer. Eventually, he gave up and walked back to the dressing room.
The Bulls’ announcers did not understand the call either.
Soon after the United Center game was over, news started going around on social media that Jokić had been kicked out, and it happened on Serbian Heritage Night at the Chicago arena.
Jamal Collier, an ESPN reporter, made it clear that it was not a celebration night at the stadium, but there was a group ticket deal at the United Center.
Fans did not like the official’s choice to kick Jokić out of the game, and they spoke out against it both in person and on social media.
Jokić was not the only player to get a harsh technical on Tuesday night. Tim Hardaway Jr. of the Mavericks also got a soft tech for hanging on the rim, which made fans boo as well.
