Throughout the game, Lowry shot flawlessly, going 5 for 5, 4 for 4 from beyond the arc, and 3 for 3 from the charity stripe. The Heat’s Jamal Cain scored fourteen points, Jimmy Butler scored fifteen, and Butler dished out ten assists. The final tally for Thomas Bryant was 11.

With 20 points from Gordon Hayward, 18 from Brandon Miller, and 16 from Miles Bridges, Charlotte was led by Terry Rozier, who scored 28 points.

In terms of bench scoring (45-13) and points off turnovers (huge advantage), the Heat were the clear winners. Their 32 points came off 21 Charlotte turnovers, but the Hornets’ 13 points came from Miami’s 22 turnovers, which was the most of the season.

As before, Bam Adebayo (hip), Haywood Highsmith (back), and Tyler Herro (ankle) were all out for the Heat, while Josh Richardson also did not play. Given that Herro uploaded a video of himself shooting on the Heat game court on Tuesday night, there may be optimism for his imminent comeback.

Hornets forward PJ Washington departed the game in the first half after injuring his left shoulder; he played four minutes before leaving. The Hornets have gone 2-5 without LaMelo Ball (ankle) and Mark Williams (back) for the third time in as many games for Charlotte. LaMelo has missed seven games in a row due to his injury.

With four points in the first seventeen seconds of the game, Charlotte tied the season high for fastest start. At no time throughout the game did the Hornets hold an advantage larger than four points.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Heat cruised to a 69-47 lead in the second quarter.
