Fans of the National Basketball Association are reacting to the news that Draymond Green has been suspended from the league indefinitely for his most recent bouts of violent behavior.
Green made a forceful swing with his right forearm and smacked Nurkic in the head while he was guarding Nurkic on Tuesday. The incident occurred with 8:23 remaining in the third quarter of the game against the Suns.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Warriors forward was removed from the game and given a flagrant foul 2 for the incident. Additionally, Wojnarowski reports that the forward has been suspended from the league without a return date.
“Draymond Green, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr., and Green’s agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports are expected to meet on Thursday to begin discussing a path of counseling and assistance for Green to move forward,” Wojnarowski said on X. “The meeting is expected to take place on Thursday.” Although the league did not want to assign a precise number to the punishment, they did want to give Green the opportunity to take the time he might require to deal with the difficulties he is experiencing.
I am not familiar with it. Kerr asserted, “I have no comment on it because I have not seen a replay of it until now.”
On the other hand, he was more than happy to talk about how the departure of Draymond was the worst conceivable consequence.
When asked about the loss of Green, Kerr stated, “It was a huge swing.” The fact that he was there at five of the clock and spreading out the floor made us feel a little bit better. I was thinking that would be able to give Steph some breathing room… Although I was pleased to see him out there, I noticed that he had lost his composure.
Green is a very essential player for the club, according to Kerr, but it does not appear like he will be back any time soon given the current circumstances.
“Yes, we are in need of him. We are in need of Draymond. He is aware of that. He has been contacted by us. When it comes to his teammates, he needs to find a way to maintain his composure and be there for them.
